The gang’s all here! Getting ever closer to a completed set of paddles!
It’s progress. Here are the five paddle shafts which will become integral (obviously) parts of five completed paddles. Which means there will be pics of each step along the way. At the highest level, paddle building regardless of paddle type is quite similar. But – the devil is in the details, as with so many other things in life!
So stay tuned.
One of these days, a fresh batch of pics will overwhelm this blog and offer further insight into how one might go about the fine and pleasant misery of building your own paddle.
PS – Does anyone else remember Patrick McManus, the circa 1980’s humor columnist for Outdoor Life (or was it Field and Stream??). He gets credit for the wonderful phrase ‘a fine and pleasant misery’. Does anyone remember those magazines?
